It's winter in Chicago. We had five inches of slushy snow last night, and now it's raining something awful.
I work at home so I don't have to cope with this sort of thing. Maybe it's not the only reason I work at home, but it's a big one.
Of course, in the worst weather possible, I have to go and cope with a banking/mortgage crisis. I'm back, I've survived. So has relative financial stability. But I feel slushy, and I've got a wet left foot to show for my troubles.
If only I had a kick-ass umbrella from UmbrellaHeaven.

Dashing Red from UmbrellaHeaven
I gave my dad one of these umbrellas for Christmas this year. I think about it all the time.
He's in Minnesota, where winters are more proper. He won't need his lovely umbrella until spring.
It's a really beautiful umbrella. Everything is handmade, even the little hinges. These are special too. Apparently the umbrella won't break when it's upended into the wind. I wouldn't be able to vouch for this though, as I don't have one.
I just really really want one.
